WHAT IS
MARIUS?

Marius is a custom controller motherboard designed from the ground up for one thing: speed.

Instead of modifying the original controller motherboard through software overclocking, the Marius Board replaces it with dedicated hardware designed for extremely high-speed communication with your PC.

The result is native 8,000Hz polling, adjustable controller settings and an input system built specifically around competitive gaming.

Marius Board back
IMPORTANT Marius is a PC-only platform. It is not designed to retain the normal wireless and console features of a DualSense controller.
02 / PERFORMANCE

NATIVE
8,000Hz.

No external overclocking. No software trickery. The Marius Board communicates with your PC at its native high-speed polling rates.

125 Hz 8ms
500 Hz 2ms
1K Hz 1ms
2K Hz 0.5ms
4K Hz 0.25ms
8K Hz ≈ 0.125ms*

*Polling interval represents how frequently the controller reports updates to the PC. Polling rate is only one component of total system input latency.

08 / FAQ

FREQUENTLY
ASKED.

Does Marius work on PS5?

No. Marius is designed for PC use and does not provide standard PS5 console compatibility.

Does Marius work wirelessly?

No. Marius controllers are wired USB controllers designed for maximum performance on PC.

Does Marius have rumble or haptic feedback?

No. These features are removed from the Marius platform to keep the controller focused on competitive performance.

Does TMR mean the controller can never drift?

TMR greatly reduces the traditional wear mechanism associated with potentiometer stick drift, but no analogue stick should be considered completely immune to calibration or centering variation.

Should I always use 8,000Hz?

8,000Hz provides the shortest polling interval, but some PCs, USB controllers or games may perform better at a lower rate. If you experience instability or stuttering, try 4,000Hz or 2,000Hz.

Do I need to configure my controller when it arrives?

No. Clutch Controllers configures and tests Marius controllers before shipping. The software is available if you want to make your own changes later.

Is Marius suitable for competitive gaming?

That’s exactly what it is designed for. Marius removes many traditional controller features in favour of a highly responsive wired PC platform.
